Health Care- Affordable health care for you and your family is provided by PIKA through Blue Cross/Blue Shield which has an extensive network of doctors and hospitals throughout the United States.  Most doctor visits are covered at 100% after a small co-payment.  Prescription drug coverage is also included. 

Dental- You have the choice of a PPO dental plan with and without orthodontia.

401(k)- PIKA has an excellent 401(k) Plan with 50% match of up to 6% of your deferred compensation.  All team members are eligible to participate, regardless of whether you are full-time or temporary.

Life/AD&D- You will receive, at no cost to you, $100,000 in life insurance, accidental death and dismemberment insurance, which can be converted to an individual policy if you leave the company. 

Voluntary Term Life- You have the option of buying Voluntary Term Life Insurance of up to five times your annual salary, plus insurance for your spouse and your children.

Health and Safety Officer
Pantex/Amarillo, TX

DESCRIPTION
The main function of this position will be to ensure the safety and health of Company personnel and ensure project compliance for various decommissioning, demolition, construction, and asbestos abatement projects. Initial assignment will be in Amarillo, TX, but assignment may also be made to other nationwide projects. Applicant must be willing to travel extensively. Candidate shall promote safety and health as core values. The successful candidate will be skilled in the anticipation, recognition, evaluation and control of potentially unsafe acts and conditions and will develop corrective actions to promote an accident-free work environment. Some duties will include: (1) acting as the primary project resource for safety and health issues affecting on-site personnel, the environment and the public; (2) participating in project planning sessions to ensure compliance with the site-specific health and safety plan (SSHP) and corporate policies; (3) interfacing and following guidance from the Corporate Health and Safety Manager, and conveying requirements to field personnel; (4) maintaining company policy in relation to compliance, risk reduction and promotion of accident-free project performance; (5) Ensuring proper communication of safety and health issues to project personnel and performing OSHA and project-specific training.

REQUIREMENTS
An Associates degree in occupational and environmental safety and health (or similar). A minimum of three years of related experience in occupational safety and health. Experience/knowledge of OSHA regulations related to hazardous waste remediation, D&D, and construction (experience with DOE, USACE regulations is a plus). MS Word, Excel, email and other basic software applications.
