PIKA personnel have a history of working with MEC. PIKA has a team of full-time explosive ordnance disposal-trained UXO personnel. This team of specialists has extensive experience with military, civilian, and law enforcement projects. Utilizing this team and the technology at our disposal, PIKA has the ability to identify MEC, and the expertise to know how to safely address the hazards. PIKA personnel have developed and are operating the most innovative and cost-effective munitions and range debris scrap management system in the industry.
PIKA provides a complete range of environmental remediation services with an emphasis on risk-based remedial solutions for our clients. PIKA provides turnkey environmental solutions, safely executed, on a Firm-Fixed Price (FFP) basis, giving our clients the added benefit of knowing the complete cost up front. PIKA utilizes state-of-the-art, high-tech equipment and remote control technology to remediate sites.
PIKA provides comprehensive munitions demilitarization (DEMIL) resulting in the 5X certification and recycling range and munitions debris. PIKA provides state of the art recycling and DEMIL equipment for small arms ammunition, white phosphorus canisters, range related debris, and all sizes of munitions up to and including 2000 pound bombs. PIKA’s safety first philosophy has led to the use of remote operations, including robotics. PIKA invests significant resources annually into the development of innovative technologies to include a remotely controlled excavation and an underwater DEMIL system for white phosphorus munitions.
PIKA’s radiological services division is comprised of highly trained experts in the radiological field, including Certified Health Physicists (CHP), Department of Defense-approved Senior Waste Brokers/ Transportation Specialists, and Radiological Technicians. PIKA has devoted an extensive amount of time and resources to identify and acquire the latest software, equipment and technology to deal with the radiological waste and hazards of our clients.This allows PIKA to safely and efficiently perform all projects while reducing costs and project duration.
Construction Management Services
PIKA provides comprehensive services from pre-design to post construction activities. PIKA’s services include design-build, inspections and construction renovations. During design build, our services include site selection, land planning, permitting, and facility assessment; during inspections, we offer trained inspectors, specification compliance, and quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC); and during construction/renovations, our services include earth-moving, demolition, utility and building construction, and specialty structures. PIKA offers management and engineering services for all construction activities.
PIKA offers geophysical surveying contracting and consulting services for environmental and engineering applications. Geophysics provides a non-invasive, non-destructive means of identifying and evaluating subsurface anomalies and structures. Experienced personnel and state-of-the-practice technologies allow PIKA to offer high quality, cost-effective geophysical solutions.
Deactivation and Decommissioning (D&D) Services
PIKA is a proven provider of deactivation and decommissioning (D&D) services and considers this one of the primary capabilities of our overall multidisciplinary environmental consulting, remediation and construction management services. PIKA and our heavily experienced staff have performed the D&D of heavily contaminated buildings at a variety of sites, including several projects at the Pantex Plant in Amarillo, TX, and various explosives manufacturing facilities across the country. Today, PIKA offers a spectrum of turnkey D&D, demolition, environmental investigation, remediation, and waste disposal services with an emphasis on remediation, MEC, high explosives (HEs),
and radiological materials. We are one of only a few firms in the world with this highly specialized expertise and the in-house staff to perform such work. We are recognized for providing technically superior engineered solutions that provide significant savings for our customers.
